David is an architect and urban designer with over 25 years experience in masterplanning and urban design. His position as Associate with CM+ has the responsibility of management of large scale projects through various design and development phases.
While completing his architectural degree, David worked for Edwards Madigan Torzillo Briggs, McConnell Smith & Johnson and Keys Young in Sydney, as well as the Fitzroy Robinson Partnership in London.
David joined Conybeare Morrison in 2000, and has developed expertise in the urban design of infrastructure projects for major roads and transitways, and in the masterplanning of mixed use urban precincts, town centres and residential communities.
His broad urban planning and design experience encompasses: rezoning and developed masterplans, urban and landscape concept design, streetscape improvement design, urban and landscape design reports including EIS Working Papers, Visual Assessments, Part 3A Environmental Assessments, Development Control Plans, Public Domain Improvement Plans, Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plans and urban street tree planting guideline documents.
Urban infrastructure design work includes the Victoria Road Upgrade project, the Brunswick to Yelgun Upgrade of the Pacific Highway, the Moree Town Centre Bypass and PAMP study, the Westlink M7, Bells Line of Road Upgrade, Cowpasture Road Strategy, F3 to Raymond Terrace EIS, the Liverpool to Parramatta Transitway Study and the North West Transitway and Karuah to Bulahdelah Tenders.
Further urban design projects include preparing masterplans for 'Seniors Living' communities at Castle Hill and in the Warriewood Valley and the preparation of a residential masterplan in Bendigo, Victoria. David prepared a Public Domain Improvement Plan and a Design Concept for an urban park in the Dee Why Town Centre and has reviewed the Development Control Plans for Coffs Harbour and Woolgoolga Town Centres. He has recently completed a comprehensive Part 3A rezoning Concept Plan for a 42 Ha mixed use Gateway Site development at Tuggerah on the Central Coast, and Concept Designs and Tender Documentation for the streetscape upgrade of Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach and for Olympic Drive in North Sydney. |
