Glenrowan Revitalisation Project (01/06/2006)
Glenrowan, the heart of Kelly Country, is the site of Ned Kelly's last stand, a major tourist destination in north east Victoria. CM+ were commissioned in 2004 to revitalise the town centre's roads and facilities, and to prepare interpretation panels of the events of 28th June, 1880. The eight interpretation panels describing the events are to be installed along a walking tour through the town. These will identify the key siege sites including where the rockets were launched, the police shelter positions, McDonnell Tavern, Glenrowan Inn, the Kelly copse and the capture site. The roads and facilities in the area are being upgraded and the eight interpretation panels have been installed in September 2007.

University of Western Sydney - Penrith + Parramatta (01/06/2006)
CM+ has been commissioned to prepare masterplans for the University of Western Sydney at both Parramatta and Penrith to accommodate growth and expansion over the next 10-year period. These commissions build upon our extensive university experience with the preparation of masterplans for many of Sydney's major universities, together with the development of recent campus's in China and South East Asia.

National Trust Heritage Award, Royal Botanic Gardens CMP (10/04/2006)
CM+ Heritage received a high commendation award for the preparation of the 2005 Royal Botanic Gardens Conservation Management Plan, in collaboration with Botanic Gardens Trust, at the 2006 Energy Australia National Trust Heritage Awards. The Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney is one of the earliest surviving colonial gardens in the world and one of the richest and most extensive early public cultural landscapes in Australia. The Gardens have substantially intact major precincts and extensive living plant collections that are nationally rare from a historic, scientific and aesthetic and social perspective. The Energy Australia National Trust Heritage Awards judges comments included: The Conservation Management Plan for the Royal Botanic Gardens is an impressively thorough analysis of Australia's premier Gardens. The detailed documentation covers all the sculptures, sheds and buildings as well as the historic pathways and roadways that all contributed to the evolution of the Gardens. The document is a perfect manual to manage the Gardens into the future.

CM+ Appointed lead consultants - Dee Why Town Centre (07/04/2006)
CM+ and Context are currently preparing a Public Domain Improvement Plan for the Dee Why Town Centre, on Sydney's northern beaches. The Town Centre is in the process of radical reshaping, in line with the centre being identified in the Sydney Metropolitan Strategy as a future 'Major Centre' of the region. The 'vision' for Dee Why is to establish a vibrant, urban, mixed-use centre at one of Sydney's most attractive beach locations. Increased densities in the centre will provide opportunities for greater urbanity and vibrancy, whilst also raising expectations for the design of the public domain. A new Town Square, Library Square, a 500m2 public park, integrated bus stop facilities and upgraded footpaths and pedestrian links, form the key components of the public domain improvement works.

Coffs Harbour DCP + Woolgoolga Town Centre Study (07/04/2006)
CM+ is currently working on the Coffs Harbour DCP and Woolgoolga Town Centre Study with Hill PDA. This project allows a significant opportunity to redevelop the western side of the City Centre, which has become increasingly dominated by professional office development, and reconnect it with the retail core on the eastern side. The objective of the Coffs Harbour DCP is to identify inherent urban design opportunities and development sites in the City Centre, with the potential to improve the City's image and amenity. The Woolgoolga Study will review the issues relevant to the Woolgoolga Business Lands to enable the development of an overall planning strategy. This will result in the review of business zonings in the town centre and environs.

St. Francis Xavier, Wollongong (01/04/2006)
Work continues on the masterplan for the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong at St Francis Xavier Parish. CM+, teamed up with Hill PDA and SitePlus of Wollongong, have been tasked with setting a direction for the redevelopment of the parish grounds in central Wollongong. The diocese envisions a new cathedral and a redeveloped site that provides a revenue stream to make the transformation possible. The team has finished the site, heritage, and initial financial analysis for the diocese and made a number of well-received presentations to the Diocesan Steering Committee. The final outcome of the study will be a general masterplan that defines a new vision for the site, provides an opportunity for an iconic cathedral to be built, and repositions the church as a central element in the daily life of Wollongong.

Bobbin Head + Apple Tree Bay, Ku-ring-gai Chase NP (28/02/2006)
The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has commissioned CM+ and Context Landscape Design to prepare a Masterplan for Bobbin Head and Apple Tree Bay in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. The joint effort of urban design, heritage and landscape design will produce a Conservation Management Plan, Landscape Management Plan and overall Masterplan. The vision for Bobbin Head is to conserve, enhance and manage the recreational precinct as an early twentieth century pleasure ground within a National Park. Future generations will continue to enjoy land and water based recreation within the unique setting of the cultural landscape and learn about the history, significance and natural attributes of the park through imaginative design and interpretation. The restored Orchard Park, Bobbin Inn and the landscape flats of Gibberong Park will again be the focus of family oriented picnic and passive recreation activities, capturing the views, ambience and landscape contrasts of Cowan Creek and its surrounds. Bobbin Head will be a place where users will enjoy nature and a touch of history within a robust, safe and sustainable landscape. The aim for Apple Tree Bay is to enhance and manage it as a passive recreation area within a shady, natural setting. The park will be distinctive, and complement Bobbin Head as a picnic ground and provide visitors with a well serviced track head for trails and walks within the National Park. Apple Tree Bay will continue its role as a place for launching boats on the Hawkesbury River with the facilities improved and enhanced in a sympathetic and sustainable way. The parklands will integrate with the bushland surroundings. The two parkland sites will offer visitors a unique experience rarely available within a National Park. A series of analysis drawings can be viewed on the NPWS website: www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/npws.nsf/Content/kuringgai_bobbinhead_appletree_masterplan_draft
